Do you know that heels were not worn by women but were worn by men!
Heels were originated in the 15th Century in Persia so that they could maintain balance while riding a horse. With this balance, any soldier could easily attack their enemies. In 1599, Persian diplomats travelled to Europe and the people of Europe saw that Persian boys had worn heels and then this became famous in Europe, be it a rich person or a common man everyone started to wear heels and the elite wore such heels that were longer than usual so that they looked more dominating. There was also a time when women would also want to dress up like men they would cut their hair short, and would wear hats. In that time period, both men and women would wear heels.
In 17th century enlightenment movement started in Europe because of which, fashion for men changed completely, where practical things were given more importance because of which, men stopped wearing heels and now heels are only worn by women.
