 Which is World’s number 1 Biscuit? Undoubtedly its Parle-G. 

In 2011, Nielsen marketing company published a report Parle-G was declared world’s no. 1 most sold biscuit. Let’s know Parle G’s story in these 5 points.

1. Parle Company was founded in Vile Parle, Mumbai in the year 1928. It was founded by Mohanlal Dayal. The first, it only had 12 employees who were his family members. 

2. They were inspired by the Swadeshi movement. They wanted to start an Indian company that made Indian snacks for Indian people but biscuit wasn’t their first product.

3. It was an Orange candy name Orange Bite. 

4. Parle G biscuit came into the picture when in 1938, people wanted an Indian alternative to dip in their tea cups. By learning the process from Germany Parle G Biscuit was launched 

5. National wide Parle G has 130 factories and 5 million stores 

The Biscuit that started from the Swadeshi movement is sold in at least 9 different countries 

Now that’s a Genius Story of taking India to the world
