The worst mistake in history!!! This man made one of the worst mistakes in history and you have to know about it. Let me explain. In 1918 during world war 1 a British soldier named Henry Tandey was in Trench after a long day of fighting the German army at that time Henry Tandey was a famous war hero and one of the most decorated British soldiers so he want to believe mistake he made as Henry sitting inside the trench facing enemy lines he saw a silhouette of a man at a distance slowly coming towards him because of a thick fog henry couldn't tell it if it was enemy or a ally so he just kept his gun pointed at the man and started waiting as he got closer and closer and when he got close enough Henry realized that he was unarmed wounded German soldier. Henry killed many people throughout his career but seeing as this guy was unarmed and injured he just couldn't do it. he lowered his rifle nodded at the soldier and let him go. he didn't know it then but he has just saved the l...

What is the farthest point from the center of earth?

What is the farthest point from the center of earth? If i ask you from the earth's center what is the furthest point on Earth - what will you say? The obvious answer for most of you will be the Mount Everest because it is peak is at the highest point from the sea level at the height of 29,032 feet.  But Wrong Answer! The correct answer is Ecuador's Mount Chimborazo. Mount Chimborazo a tall mountain with a height of merely 6263 mts. How can this be? It is because of the earth's shape. The thing is, Earth isnt a perfect sphere. The shape of Earth is Oblate Spheroid. Its like squishing a football from the top. Around the Equator, Earth bluges outwards. While Mount Everest is located at 28 degree N, Mount Chimbarazo is only 1.5 deg S of the Equator. The shape of the earth where mount Chimborazo is located the earth is bulging outwards. That's why it is 7,000 feet farther from the Earth's center than mount Everest.

In 1949 Coca-Cola was introduced in India after which you could find Coca-Cola in every village. But in 1977 government passed a law because of which Coca-Cola has to give 60% of its shares to an Indian company. But Coco-Cola refused because of which they had to leave India. After this, in 1977 Campa-Cola was launced in India after Coke's departure Thumps up was the only drink in the markert, thus Campa Cola became so popular. In 1992 Indian Governemnt decided to liberalise the economy which meant that. foreign companies could come to India. Soon Coke and Pepsi enetered the Indian Market and Campa Cola couldnt compete. How can Lipstick and Men’s underwear predict the economy?

How can Lipstick and Men’s underwear predict the economy? Do you know that Men’s underwear and the lipstick can detect slow down or recession in an economy? Whenever an economy slows down, according to the lipstick index, lipstick sales in the country shoots up. This is because luxury products like jewelry and handbags get very expensive. During the slowdown, people do not have excess money to spend. So affordable things like lipstick that are alternate luxuries, women choose to spend more on it. This is why in 2020 during the pandemic, companies like Nykaa, had high sales. The same happened in the 2008 recession. The other indicator is the men’s underwear indicator. Whenever the economy see a slowdown, nationwide, men delay the decision to buy new underwear for themselves. Because buying a new pair of underwear isn’t very crucial. There is a long list of things with higher priority during a cash crunch and buying underwear has a low priority.  Once again, this was seen durin...

we just laid off 5% of the team.

we just laid off 5% of the team. it sucks and we are not alone! Google just laid off 12,000 people  Microsoft laid off 10,000 people  Meta laid off 13,000 people  Everyone is angry! and they should be! The truth is all companies are heartless. Thats why you should not give your life to the company. You should give your life to the MISSION! There is a big difference between the 2! If you work hard at Instagram dont do it because it is Intagram do it because Instagram is connecting people! That is your mission! If you get fired you can still connect people somewhere else like Youtube. Work for a mission any mission! This way, no one can take away your job on this planet!

Secret of Flipkart growth...

Secret of Flipkart growth... Two friends studied together at IIT delhi, and after that they worked at Amazon and learned something, but then they felt that they should do something new. So in october 2007, with 4 lakh INR in a house in Bangalore, they started a website. And just like Amazon, they started shipping books. They felt that the e-commerce of books in India was not so well established. In 2011, they then brought a fundamental shift through the introduction of something called CASH on delivery. COD which has become so normal in our life was started by Sachin & Binny Bansal of Flipkart. These two friends sold Flipkart for 16 billion dollars or 1 lakh crore INR to walmart and now are doing their own things in such a great fashion. What an inspiration!!!!

Why do we whisper into Nandi’s ears in Shiva temple?

Image
Why do we whisper into Nandi’s ears in Shiva temple? Whenever we worship Lord Shiva, our elders might have told us to pray in Nandi’s ears so that the wish will come true. When people see Nandi Maharaj, they know Shiva, the Mahadeva, has got to be around nearby. We always see Nandi Maharaj in the sitting position, facing Shiva. Nandi is symbol of selfless devotion, strength, wisdom, protector of Shiva, a devotee, a messenger, and a symbol of Shivaya himself in many ways. Sanatana Dharma has a unique and exalted place for Lord Shiva as the one who transcends all rules and norms of society and civilization. He is the lord of the Ganas, that include all life-forms even outside of the earthly realm. Among scores of Ganas that surround him, one holds the foremost position. According to Hindu Philosophy, the purpose of human life is to attain emancipation (Moksha) which can be gained by controlling our Indriyas. Moksha can also be defined as merging Jeeva or Individual soul with the sup...

ChatGPT

Today, Google has become a giant company and it is difficult to imagine that there might be any company to compete with Google. But there is a new tool that is easily competing with Google search. it is an artificial intelligence software, that is built as a language module. it uses chatbots to provide realistic answers to questions. it is unique because the amswers are provided in a human-like style. it dosent feel like you are talking to computers. Though the answers aren't 100% accurate, the style of its communication is scary. Worldwide, people noticed that it can be easily used to complete their school homework or for coding websites. This is why, while it took Facebook took 3.5 years to reach 1 million users, 1.5 years for Google, but ChatGPT did it in only 5 days. No doubt, it can help in numerous fields. But students in school need to be aware that if they use this for doing their homework, they may end up not learning even the basic skills needed in life.

Do you know that identical twins, look alike, but two twins never have the same fingerprints.?

Do you know that identical twins, look alike, but two twins never have the same fingerprints.? There is a simple reason for that - when a child is in a mother's womb, the small fetus first develops the outside layer of its skin, which is very smooth. But around 10 weeks later, a deeper layer under the skin, BASAL LAYER starts to grow rapidly while the outer layer grows slowly. so the layer beneath starts developing folds. these folds are completely random depending on how fast both the layers are growing, the shape and size of blood vessels, it depends on all the these. by 17 weeks, the upper layers of the skin starts to fold as well. the fingerprints of the fetus are set for the life. Even though it might seem that your fingerprints are on the outside layer even if you get a scar on your finger, your fingerprints will not be damaged. The new skin that grows will follow the same set pattern/folds. For this reason, every person in the world has unique fingerprints.

Mcdonalds is not selling burgers!!!

Mcdonalds is not selling burgers!!! You might be surprised to know that selling burgers is not McDonalds main business. McDonald's is a real estate company. There are 39,198 McDonald's outlets globally which has a total value of 41 billion dollars making it the 7th largest real estate owner in the world. How you can ask... usually fast food restaurants operate on franchise model, people who own land contact the brand owners and obtain the franchise licience & use their brand name and recipes for a fee. But Mcdoland's follows a different stratergy. it first buys a land and then finds people to operate there. For 60 years McDonald's has been doing this and the results!!! For so many years McDonald's has been collecting rent along with royalty fee from franchises. Name of this genius stratergy is Sonneborn model. McDonald's earns $11 Billion yearly & out of this 70% comes not from selling burgers but from the rent. Now that's smart right?

Be Human

Henry Ford - The founder of Ford motor company once took 2 candidates for dinner. They were both graduates of the same university, they had the same GPA ( Grade Point Average) They both were geniuses. They finished their dinner & they walked out of the restaurant and as soon as they walked out Ford said to the one you are hired and said to the other one we won’t be proceeding together. Thank you very much for a lovely dinner. They young guy summoned the courage and said Mister Ford can I ask you something sir? We never spoke about engineering, we never spoke about cars, we never spoke about university, we only spoke about general things. Why are you hiring my friend and not myself? And Mister Ford said for 2 reasons First reason is that your friend tried his steak and then he put salt and you put salt & then you tried your steak - I like people who try things before they make changes. Second & most important reason of them all your friend was polite with all the waiter...

A study shows that ants can detect the scent of cancer in urine.

A study shows that ants can detect the scent of cancer in urine. Ants could be used as a cancer bio-detector in the future Several cancers have been found to change the smell of urine Cancerous tumors release special chemicals called volatile organic compounds and often shown up in bodily fluids such as sweat and urine. These compounds can be detected using high-tech equipment or picked by animals with especially sensitive noses. Now a study shows that ants can sniff out these compounds in urine. Ants do not have noses, but they have an incredible sense of smell. They use olfactory receptors their antennae to find food and potential mates. Researches started by grafting pieces of a human breast-cancer tumor onto mice, then they collected urine from both tumor-laden mice and healthy once and exposed ants belonging to species known as Formica Fusca. To train the ants to associate the smell of tumors with a reward researchers placed a drop of sugar water in front of the cancerous uri...

Parsi Community is in a serious problem.

Parsi Community is in a serious problem. A problem in the disposal of their dead. Parsi’s have a unique system of disposal of dead bodies called Dokhmenashini. They don’t practice burial or cremation because they consider the elements of fire and earth to be sacred. So, they rely on nature to dispose of dead bodies. They leave the dead body in the open to be eaten and decomposed by vultures. Such places are called The Tower of Silence. In the past 15 years, the population of vultures in India has declined by 99%. In normal circumstances, vultures would take only half an hour to scavenge the body. But due to the decline in the population of vultures, it takes longer for the dead bodies to decompose. This results in the emanation of a strong stench around the tower of silence. Doctors have also warned of the health hazards of the practice. This implies that Parsi’s would no longer be able to practice this vital part of their culture.

Wisdom 4 feb

To improve ourselves, we should develop good habits. Good habits can only be developed when our mind is free from all types of burdens. So let us keep our mind fresh and empty to develop all the good habits required to achieve our goal. We need more questioning minds than answering mouth. An answering mouth may lead us to an incorrect path, but a questioning mind will help us to discover the correct path.

Wisdom 3 feb

Our words are so powerful that it can make us believe about something that can change our life totally. We should never misuse it by understanding its value  When the self is not known, fears surround us. To feel secure, we gather beliefs to hold on to them. That is the seed of mankind’s suffering.

Don’t forget to love the way you want to be loved, listen the way you want to be heard, give the way you hope others give, care the way you want others to care, because change doesn’t start with them, it’s starts right here. We don’t know what tomorrow will bring. So don’t stay mad for too long. Learn to forgive and love with all your heart. Don’t worry about the people who don’t like you. Enjoy the ones who love you.
